A flower for a lonely Friday night...

Looks like Nik will be working overnight again. I guess its a good opportunity to work on the Wind Up Bird Chronicle, which I'd like to finish before I fly out. Not really keen to drag a 600 page book on the plane if I don't have to, rather leave it here.

This flower is from Kim's garden. No modifications, just the basic TTV setup. I fell in love instantly. I need to go to an arboretum once I'm back on the Island.

Haha it looks pretty pathetic. I'm not around my camera to take a photo, but I'll try to explain.

I made a 4 sided tube like thing out of thick cardboard...taped the sides with black tape to keep light out. It sits on the top lens. Then I put the entire camera in a black sock with a hole in the front for the lenses. The sock acts to hold the square tube in place. Then I place my digital at the top, looking down the tube to the bubble lens. Then I put the digital on macro and spot metering, zoom in just a tad and viola!

But maybe it would just be better if you looked here:
